Colts sign wide receiver Tyler Rutenbeack

The Indianapolis Colts have signed free agent wide receiver Tyler Rutenbeck. Rutenbeck was originally signed by the Washington Redskins in May after going undrafted out of Dubuque. He was released weeks later. Rutenbeck played four seasons at Dubuque and recorded 163 receptions for 2,715 yards and a school-record 42 receiving touchdowns. He ranks third in school history in receiving yards and fourth in receptions. As a senior in 2014, Rutenbeck caught 66 passes for 918 yards and 11 touchdowns en route to garnering First Team All-Iowa Conference honors. In 2013, he registered 68 receptions for 1,269 yards and led Division III with 22 receiving touchdowns. Rutenbeck earned numerous honors including First Team All-Iowa Conference, First Team Associated Press Little All-America (D2-D3-NAIA), AFCA Division III All-America and All-America honors.
