Coming soon: Play Tim Tebow billboard
The Tim Tebow clamoring in Denver is about to go a whole new level - a level several feet in the air, as a matter of fact.
According to the Denver Post, Broncos fans are apparently pooling their money together to pay $10,000 to purchase space on two billboards in downtown Denver to say, "Play Tim Tebow."
Jesse Oaks, who lives a couple of thousand miles or so from Denver in Independence, Ky., is the originator of the idea, which has picked up steam on a Broncos message board.
"We believe in Coach (John) Fox. We're just tired of Kyle Orton," Oaks said. "We were sitting around after Fox said he didn't hear the chants for (Tim) Tebow and we figured if he's deaf, we hope he's not blind."
While the billboard probably won't have any influence on Fox's decision of who plays quarterback, it does prove once and for all that the Tebow situation is not going away anytime soon for as long as he is wearing a Broncos uniform and standing on the sideline.
