Connecticut tight end Sean McQuillan runs 4.77, bench presses 225 19 times as Raiders, Dolphins, Lions attend workout

Connecticut tight end Sean McQuillan, an NFL supplemental draft entrant, ran the 40-yard dash in 4.77 and 4.78 seconds and bench pressed 225 pounds 19 times during his workout for NFL teams. McQuillan was 6-foot-3, 241 pounds with 32 1/4 arms, 9 1/4 hands. He had a 4.38 short shuttle, a 7.16 three-cone drill and a 9-foot broad jump. He didn't do the vertical leap because the equipment wasn't available. McQuillan left school after a fight with his roommate. He has a July 17 court appearance for second-degree assault and disorderly conduct charges. Per a source, McQuillan's legal outlook is promising. Fourteen NFL teams have inquired about McQuillan in the past few days. The Oakland Raiders, Miami Dolphins and Detroit Lions attended the workout, where McQuillan had no drops and caught the football smoothly. Last season, he caught 16 passes for 158 yards and a touchdown. He scored the lone touchdown in the Huskies' spring game this year.
