Connor Shaw to start against Ravens
The Cleveland Browns will be forced to trot out a green quarterback in their season-finale.
On Saturday, the Browns will officially activate Connor Shaw to the 53-man roster from the practice squad and he will start against the Ravens on Sunday. Shaw has been on the practice squad since the beginning of the season, with Brian Hoyer and Johnny Manziel being the top two quarterbacks on the team.
Shaw did get some game action in the preseason, highlighted by a Hail Mary touchdown against Washington. He was an undrafted free agent signee out of South Carolina.
Shaw tweeted "#22" earlier Friday in reference to being the 22nd quarterback to start a game for the Browns in the past 16 years.
Shaw's getting the start as Hoyer has a shoulder injury and Manziel has a hamstring ailment.
