Corey Liuget deal gets done in San Diego

And then there were two.

The San Diego Chargers have reached terms on a four-year contract with defensive tackle Corey Liuget, the club’s first-round draft pick.

The deal was completed this morning, according to Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union-Tribune. Apparently, the two sides reached a compromise over guaranteed money in the final year of the contract, and now Liuget will be able to get down to business on the first day veteran free agents are permitted to practice.

The 18th overall pick from Illinois is expected to start at defensive end.

New England Patriots offensive tackle Nate Solder, who was drafted 17th overall, and New York Giants cornerback Prince Amukamara, who went 19th overall to the New York Giants, are the remaining unsigned picks in the first round.
