Could Derek and David Carr be a package deal?

Former Fresno State quarterback Derek Carr is hoping to be taken in the first round of this upcoming draft.

He had a monster senior season with the Bulldogs, throwing for 5,082 yards, 50 touchdowns and only eight interceptions. Some analysts have pegged him a first-round talent, some have him slpping to the second.

But here's an interesting idea some teams apparently have. Carr recently told radio station 95.7 The Game in San Francisco that teams have talked about possibly bringing in older brother David Carr to be his backup if they draft him.

That could be something that's beneficial, given the younger brother can learn the ropes from big brother, whose career didn't go as planned.

Drafted with the No. 1 overall pick by Houston in 2002, David Carr's career was grounded before it could ever take off. As a rookie, he was sacked an NFL record 76 times during the season.
