Court date for Albert Haynesworth pushed back

While we’re doing the roundup on NFL bad boys, at least the ones in the NFC, it’s important not to lose focus of Albert Haynesworth.

That’s because the Washington Redskins defensive tackle has had his share of arrests, lawsuits, unpaid bills and the rest.

Haynesworth was originally scheduled to appear in Fairfax County, Va., court on Thursday for a misdemeanor assault trial stemming from his arrest following a road-rage incident. However, according to the Fredericksburg Free-Lance Star, the court date has been moved to May 26 because the docket Thursday was too packed.

Haynesworth allegedly punched a man in the face while they were driving on Feb. 2. A Class 1 misdemeanor conviction has a maximum sentence of 12 months in jail and a $2,500 fine.
