Cowboys have private workout for Toledo wide receiver Alonzo Russell

The Dallas Cowboys have a private workout for Toledo wide receiver Alonzo Russell, according to a league source. He had a dinner meeting previously with the Green Bay Packers. The all-conference wide receiver has outstanding size at 6-4, 206 pounds. At the NFL scouting combine, Russell ran the 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds, with a 9-4 broad jump. He bench pressed 225 pounds 12 times. Russell caught 36 passes for 618 yards and five touchdowns last season. He caught 51 passes for 770 yards and eight touchdowns as a junior. The Washington, D.C. native and H.D. Woodson graduate had 59 catches for 728 yards and six touchdowns as a sophomore. As a freshman, Russell caught 56 passes for 960 yards.
