Cowboys LG Kyle Kosier could miss a few games
The Dallas Cowboys are forecasting that veteran left guard Kyle Kosier will miss the first two regular-season games after suffering a sprained MCL this week.
The hope is that right tackle Marc Colombo will be back in time for the season opener after arthroscopic surgery to remove cartilage from his right knee. But Kosier’s injury could have him on the shelf for six weeks or so, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. That means Montrae Holland will fill in for him.
According to the report, one source said Kosier could be unavailable until after the team’s bye in Week 4. Owner Jerry Jones was much more optimistic this week, but Jones’ forecast and the one presented here are a month apart.
Holland is an eight-year veteran with 48 career starts, so the Cowboys will not be turning to an unknown.
