Cowboys sign A.J. Jenkins
The Dallas Cowboys have signed former first-round wide receiver A.J. Jenkins following a successful minicamp tryout.
Jenkins was chosen over Tommy Streeter, Kris Durham and B.J. Cunningham.
Jenkins is a former San Francisco 49ers first-round draft pick, chosen 30th overall in 2012. Jenkins was an All-Big Ten Conference selection at Illinois.
Jenkins played in three games and didn't catch a pass for the 49ers before being traded to the Kansas City Chiefs.
He played two seasons for the Chiefs, catching 17 passes for 223 yards.
The Cowboys waived-injured Chris Boyd.
