Cowboys sign Amobi Okoye

The Dallas Cowboys have signed former Houston Texans first-round defensive tackle Amobi Okoye.

Okoye was selected 10th overall out of Louisville when he was 19 years old.

The 6-fooot-2. 292-pounder started as a rookie. For his career, he has 177 tackles, 16 sacks and three forced fumbles.

He played four seasons for the Texans and another two seasons for the Chicago Bears.

He didn't play last seaoson.

Okoye, 26, was cut by the Texans in 2011.

Okoye played for Cowboys defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli in Chicago.
