Cowboys sign final draft pick Sean Lee
The Dallas Cowboys built off the momentum of getting first-round draft pick Dez Bryant signed on Thursday night (NFP’s Andrew Brandt has the financial details right here) and finished off their rookie class today by signing linebacker Sean Lee to a four-year contract.
According to ESPNDallas, the second-round draft pick from Penn State will receive $1.7 million guaranteed. The Cowboys have raved about the linebacker and he is expected to play a significant role on their defense this season.
Lee was the last of the team’s draft picks to sign meaning all players should be present and accounted for when the club opens training camp in San Antonio on Saturday. ESPNDallas speculates that Lee will be in a battle with Jason Williams, the third-round pick a year ago from Western Illinois, to be the nickel linebacker.
