The Dallas Cowboys have signed second-round defensive end Randy Gregory to a four-year, $3.8 million contract.
The signing bonus is $1.04 million.
Gregory is expected to start at defensive end as a rookie.
The former Nebraska standout was initially projected as a first-round draft pick, but fell following a positive drug test for marijuana at the NFL scouting combine.
Gregory had 17 1/2 sacks in two seasons for the Cornhuskers.
"I think the main thing is, like I've been saying, just be mature," Gregory said. "I've taken the right steps. I think I'm around the right guys and the right system. I really feel like this is the best place for that."
