Cowboys signing Irvin, cut Rayford

The Dallas Cowboys are signign defensive tackle Corvey Irvin following a Tuesday tryout and cut Caesar Rayford.

The Cowboys cut defensive tackle Jason Vega and guard Phillipkeith Manley from the practice squad, signing offensive tackle John Wetzel.

Rayford was acquired in September from the Indianapolis Colts in exchange for a 2015 conditional draft pick.

Irvin is a former Carolina Panthers third-round draft pick from Georgia.

He has also played for the Chicago Bears, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Jacksonville Jaguars.
