Cowboys still can't say when DeMarco Murray will return
Dallas Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray has been sidelined six weeks with an ankle injury and there is no telling when he will be back on the field.
At least the club has not ruled him out yet for this coming Sunday’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles, according to the Dallas Morning News.
“He’s chomping at the bit to play and we just have to be patient with him and make sure that he’s doing everything necessary before we put him in a situation to practice and then play in the ballgame,” Cowboys coach Jason Garrett said. “He’s certainly made progress the last few days.”
Felix Jones has not been nearly as productive in place of Murray, who suffered a broken ankle last season to end his rookie campaign. He also struggled remaining healthy at Oklahoma at times during his college career. So, it is understandable if the team is proceeding with caution, especially with this looking more and more like another lost season in Dallas.
