Cowboys to sign guard Brandon Moore

The Dallas Cowboys are signing veteran offensive guard Brandon Moore to a one-year contract, according to a league source.

The Cowboys were speculated to be interested in Brian Waters, but nothing developed.

Moore is a former New York Jets starter who played for Cowboys offensive coordinator Bill Callahan in New York.

He has started 142 career games.

Cowboys guard Nate Livings is sidelined after undergoing knee surgery and Mackenzy Bernadeau missed time with a hamstring injury.

The Cowboys have rookie first-round draft pick Travis Frederick at center, where the team prefers to play him. Not guard.
