Cowboys work out Temple RB Jahad Thomas

The Dallas Cowboys conducted a private workout today for Temple running back Jahad Thomas, according to a league source. He was a second-team all-conference selection, rushing for 953 yards and 13 touchdowns last season. He caught 33 passes for 418 yards and six scores. As a junior, he rushed for 1,262 yards and had 1,677 all-purpose yards and scored 114 points. As a sophomore, he had 150 receiving yards against Houston. He was the primary kickoff returner as a freshman. In high school in Elizabeth, New Jersey, he was the fourth-ranked running back in the state and was a North-South all-star game participant. He was a starter on a nationally-ranked basketball team.
