Cowboys working to hire Rob Ryan as D-coordinator

The Dallas Cowboys have selected their man.

Now, it’s just a matter of getting a contract done for their new defensive coordinator.

The Cowboys are currently in negotiations to hire Rob Ryan to reconstruct a defense that absolutely fell apart this past season, reports Fox’s Jay Glazer. Ryan comes from the Cleveland Browns, where he exited along with coach Eric Mangini and others. He did get an interview for the Carolina Panthers head-coaching position that went to Ron Rivera.

The Cowboys interviewed Greg Manusky for the job and he was hired by the San Diego Chargers. Jobs across the league are filling fast. With the exception of Oakland, which operates on Al Time, most positions could be filled in the next week.
