Cullen Jenkins fined $15,000 for helmet shot on Matt Ryan
Dunta Robinson wasn’t the only player to get a hefty fine coming out of the game Sunday night.
The Atlanta Falcons cornerback was zapped $40,000 by the NFL for a hit on Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Jeremy Maclin. Eagles defensive tackle Cullen Jenkins has also been fined. The NFL has levied him $15,000 for a helmet-to-helmet shot on Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan, according to Jonathan Tamari of the Philadelphia Inquirer.
“You can punch somebody and only get fined $10,000," Jenkins said. "You do an honest mistake, it's not like I launched at him."
Sounds like a defense for the appeal process right there.
