Curtis Lofton, Dan Williams join Raiders

Former New Orleans Saints linebacker Curtis Lofton has joined the Oakland Raiders as well as former Arizona Cardinals defensive tackle Dan Williams. Although Lofton was released with a failed physical designation after undergoing a voluntary shoulder arthroscopic procedure on Jan. 7, sources said the Saints acknowledged that he's 90 percent recovered and would get full clearance in two to three weeks. The failed physical designation wqas more about semantics than a legitimate health concern, per a source, and Dr. James Andrew says he would pass him on a physical now to sign with a team. The Saints attempted to trade Lofton. Lofton was playing under a five-year, $27.5 million contract. Follow me on Twitter: @RavensInsider Aaron Wilson covers the Ravens for The Baltimore Sun
