Danny Amendola expected to progress for Rams this week

There were enough positives in the loss by the St. Louis Rams Monday night at the New York Giants to remain upbeat, but plenty of problem areas were exposed.

The offense was wretched in the red zone, and some of Sam Bradford’s wide receivers let him down at various points.

Help could be coming soon. The team announced this afternoon that while Danny Amendola is not expected to practice this week as he continues to recover from the dislocated elbow he suffered in the season opener, swelling has gone down and he could “progress this week.” Perhaps that means a potential return in Week 4 for Bradford’s most trusted targets, and a guy who can be a factor over the middle in the red zone.

Danario Alexander, the 6-5 target from Missouri, caught three passes for 122 yards vs. the Giants. He’s being developed but has knee concerns. The other young players need to step forward for Bradford.
