Danny Amendola getting closer to return

Danny Amendola was given a wide timetable of four to eight weeks on the sideline when he suffered a separated SC joint – where the collarbone meets the breastbone.

Amendola was told he would be on the shelf four to eight weeks when he was injured Oct. 4 against the Arizona Cardinals. The wide receiver for the St. Louis Rams was back on the practice field Wednesday in London, according to Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Amendola was limited and is not expected to play this Sunday against the New England Patriots. But the Rams have a bye on the other side of this game and that means Amendola could be good to go Nov. 11 when the Rams play at San Francisco. Amendola is the top target for quarterback Sam Bradford and the sooner he is back in the fold, the better.

“Any time you get Danny out there, even if he's just doing a little bit (is good)," Bradford said, according to Thomas. "And I think today, just the guys seeing him out there, knowing that he's close to coming back, he gave everyone a little bit of a spark.

"If it were up to Danny, he would've taken every rep today. That's just how he is. Even last year, after he tore his triceps, he wanted to play. He never wants to miss a play. You really respect him for that."
