Da'Rel Scott's MRI reveals no structural damage

Given the Giants' situation at running back, they appear to be very fortunate that Da'Rel Scott appears to be OK for the long term.

Scott injured his knee in Wednesday's practice, which sounded some alarms. However, multiple reports indicate that an MRI shows no structural damage.

That's not to say Scott will play this Sunday against Denver, though. The Giants will monitor Scott the rest of the week to see if his knee is OK to go when the time comes.

In the meantime, the Giants signed Brandon Jacobs to a contract on Wednesday. If Scott can't go, Jacobs might get more playing time than expected given that starter David Wilson continues to experience problems holding onto the ball.
