Darren Sharper due back in court on rape charges

Former NFL safety Darren Sharper is due back in court in California today on rape charges.

Sharper, 38, is a retired former All-Pro with the Green Bay Packers Sharper, Minnesota Vikings and New Orleans Saints.He allegedly drugged and raped two women in October after meeting them at a Hollywood nightclub.

A preliminary hearing date will be set to figure out if there's enough evidence to order Sharper to stand trial.

Another hearing is set on Sharper's extradition to Arizona. Sharper allegedly drugged three women and sexually assaulted htem in Tempe in November.

Sharper was investigated for alleged sexual assaults in New Orleans, Las Vegas and Miami, but hasn't been charged.

Sharper was working as an NFL Network analyst before being fired when the allegations of him being a serial rapist surfaced.
