Darren Sharper surrenders to police in rape case

Former New Orleans Saints safety and accused serial rapist Darren Sharper surrendered to police after allegedly raping two women in New Orleans last year.

Sharper turned himself in late Thursday night in New Orleans following a warrant issued for his arrest early Thuesday.

Sharper has allegedly raped nine different women in five different states.

Sharper is suspended indefinitely without pay from his NFL Network analyst job.

Sharper has been charged with seven felonies connected to allegedy drugging and raping two women he met at nightclubs in Los Angeles. He pleaded not guilty.

He's under investigation in Miami Beach, Las Vegas and Tempe, Ariz.

Sharper is a six-time All-Pro.He also played for the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings.
