Dave Duerson's bankruptcy resolved
Dave Duerson’s bankruptcy process has been finalized a little more than a year after the NFL veteran committed suicide.
His estate resolved the matter with $19,500, according to Jared Hopkins of the Chicago Tribune. The estate paid $13,500 after Duerson’s 2002 Cadillac Escalade was sold for $6,000 in auction.
According to the report, Duerson’s two Super Bowl rings were valued at $3,000. His consulting company DD Favor LLC was valued at $3,000. Other items, including two paintings, were valued at $7,500.
Duerson shot himself to death Feb. 17, 2011. His family has sued the NFL alleging the league concealed information regarding concussions and head injuries.
