David Baas bangs his head
The San Francisco 49ers couldn’t get through their first practice in full pads of the summer without an injury.
Left guard David Baas was sidelined with a “mild concussion,” according to the Associated Press. We’ll have to check with concussion expert Matt Bowen here at the National Football Post, but we’re pretty certain a mild concussion is one that doesn’t happen to you.
Baas was scheduled to undergo medical observation and is bound to miss at the minimum a handful of days. Baas missed most of training camp a year ago. His absence now, though, could open the door for first-round draft pick Mike Iupati, who took over in Baas’ spot with the first team.
Hopefully, reports are accurate and the concussion is mild and Baas returns to work soon.
