DeAngelo Hall asks female reporter to take her heels off
DeAngelo Hall has an issue with his height.
At least he does when he’s standing next to Comcast’s Kelli Johnson for an interview and the camera is rolling.
Leave it to Dan Steinberg of the Washington Post to get to the bottom of this issue. It seems that Hall will agree to do interviews on camera with Johnson on the condition that she removes her high-heel shoes. You see, Angelo, who is listed by the Washington Redskins at 5-10, doesn’t want to look shorter than Johnson.
Steinberg went through some postgame videos to make his point. It’s worth a look. In an interview with quarterback Rex Grossman, listed at 6-1, Johnson appears to be just shorter. In an interview with Hall, she also appears to be just shorter than him, not several inches. The difference? She’s in bare feet when talking to Hall.
“She was too tall,” Hall said. “If I was 6 feet like (Carlos Rogers), I wouldn't have to do that, but I'm 5-11, so she definitely had to take them heels off for me.”
Said Johnson: “He demands I do this every time.”
