Defense rests in Aaron Hernandez trial

The defense rested after calling three witnesses in the murder trial of former New England Patriots star tight end Aaron Hernandez Hernandez has pleaded not guilty to allegedly killing Odin L. Lloyd. The trial is getting close to wrapping up after the prosecutors rested last week. Closing arguments are scheduled this week. Hernandez faces a separate double murder indictment for allegedly gunning down two men in Boston in 2012. He has also pleaded not guilty in that case.
