Del Rio keeping his gig in Jacksonville?

From Yahoo Sports:

Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Jack Del Rio may have to send a special post-season thank you to his agent for negotiating him such a large contract that the team doesn't want to send him packing, according to the Florida Times Union.

The team lost its last four games, ending up with a record of 7-9. That keeps his team firmly out of any post-season play.

While Washington Redskins head coach Jim Zorn apparently didn't have to sit around and wonder for too long this morning just when the axe would fall, Del Rio appears to be safe for now. The Jaguars aren't known to have a lot of dough and Del Rio's salary is guaranteed for next year. There's absolutely no way the Jags want to be paying for two head coaches at the same time.

Welcome back, Jack.
