DeMarcus Ware doesn't expect to miss time with stinger
DeMarcus Ware doesn’t expect to miss any time after being forced to leave the opener for Dallas last night with a little more than four minutes to play.
Ware had a collision with Washington Redskins running back Larry Johnson and suffered a neck stinger. He left the game and did not return.
“I’m good,” Ware said after the game, according to the Dallas Morning News.
Ware had six tackles and a sack of Redskins quarterback Donovan McNabb before he left the game. Although he didn’t miss any games last season, he suffered a scary stinger in a game against the San Diego Chargers last season at Cowboys Stadium.
“It's a stinger, a dinger, whatever you want to call it," Ware said. "Everybody who plays football it's part of the job."
Ware told reporters he didn’t anticipate needing any further medical tests today. He projects to be a difficult matchup for young Chicago Bears left tackle Chris Williams this week.
