Deon Butler undergoes successful surgery to repair leg
Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Deon Butler remained in the San Francisco area to undergo surgery to repair a broken bone in his right leg.
Danny O’Neil of the Seattle Times reports that Butler remained at Stanford Medical Center and will return to Seattle later this week following the successful surgery. The bone was broken in two places and a rod was inserted to stabilize it.
Butler was second on the team with 36 receptions, trailing only Mike Williams, and he had adapted to the new offense well. Per the report, the Seahawks are expected to make a roster move to add a receiver.
