Depth chart shakeup coming in Tampa Bay?
Change could be afoot as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers gear up for their dress rehearsal for the regular season Saturday night when they play the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Rick Stroud of the St. Petersburg Times reports that there is going to be a shakeup on the depth chart with some moving parts. Those changes could reflect a semi-permanent nature given that teams typically don’t alter much between the third preseason game and the opening of the regular season.
Per the report, Keydrick Vincent could be passing up Jeremy Zuttah to become the starter at left guard. Relatively unknown running back Kareem Huggins is emerging as the backup for starter Cadillac Williams, moving ahead of veteran Derrick Ward. Huggins was an undrafted free agent from Hofstra last year.
On defense, Sean Jones could be winning the job from Sabby Piscetelli at strong safety. Stay tuned.
