Derek Newton back to Texans on five-year deal

The Houston Texans have reached a five-year, $26.5 million contract that includes $10 million guaranteed, according to a league source. Newton has started 46 games over the past three years. A right tackle, Newton is known for his run-blocking. Newton is a former seventh-round draft pick. He was scheduled to become a free agent. The Washington Redskins were interested in Newton if he hadn't re-signed with the Texans. Follow me on Twitter: @RavensInsider Aaron Wilson covers the Ravens for The Baltimore Sun
