DeSean Jackson breaks his silence
DeSean Jackson broke his media silence long enough to make it be known that the Philadelphia Eagles have not missed a beat since Donvan McNabb was traded and the keys to the offense were handed over to Kevin Kolb.
“We haven’t lost a step since he’s come in and been the man,” Jackson said earlier today, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.
Jackson had been silent since the spring before having a brief pow-wow with reporters.
“I'm just here to play football," Jackson said. "All that other stuff, I could care less about, I have a job to do.”
There has been some question about whether or not Jackson is upset with his contract situation. The former second-round draft pick has emerged as the team’s biggest playmaker.
“I’m here to win games and to be a team player and to do everything I can to encourage my guys go out there and just be successful and win games, that’s all I care about,” Jackson said.
So there you have it. All is right in Jackson’s world and he believes the offense is right where it needs to be.
