Despite hamstring, Pacman wants to play vs. Titans
Adam "Pacman" Jones says he wants to be in the lineup and playing next Sunday when the Cincinnati Bengals face the Tennessee Titans.
Sunday will mark Jones' first trip back to LP Field, where he enjoyed a handful of great moments on the field, but had his accomplishments overshadowed by numerous incidents off it Jones was the Titans' first-round pick in 2005, but after six arrests and a dozen incidents involving police, he was suspended for the 2007 season and eventually traded to Dallas in 2008.
Now, Jones is in Cincinnati and fresh off the PUP list with a neck injury showed some of his old spark and sizzle Sunday with a 63-yard punt return against Seattle. However, he pulled up at the end of the run with a twinge in his hamstring.
“I’m disappointed in myself,” Jones told the Cincinnati Enquirer. “Could I have pushed it on the return? Maybe. Would it have been smart? No. I would have pulled it and been out four-five weeks. I was hoping though that I could have played at least two or three plays before getting hurt.”
