Documents: Ortiz pointed finger at Hernandez in murder

In documents obtained by CBS4 in Miami and, Carlos Ortiz told police that Aaron Hernandez was the trigger man in the murder of Odin Lloyd.

Documents show from Ortiz's statements to police that the third man under arrest, Ernest Wallace, told him that the former New England Patriots star pulled the trigger and killed Lloyd in an industrial park just about a mile from Hernandez's mansion.

The court records also show that a vehicle connected to a 2012 double shooting in Boston had been rented in Hernandez's name, and was found in the tight end's home of Bristol, Conn.

In the Lloyd murder, Ortiz said he fell asleep while riding with Hernandez, Lloyd and Wallace and said he awoke when the three men got out of the vehicle to urinate. He then heard shots and Hernandez and Walace got back into the car and sped off.

Ortiz said he could not see who fired the shots because it was dark (around 2 a.m.), but Wallace later told him that it was Hernandez.
