The Miami Dolphins were awarded former first-round draft pick Quinton Coples off waivers from the New York Jets. Coples is an outside linebacker who was drafted in 2012 with the 16th overall pick. Coples played in 10 games this season with two starts and had one fumble recovery. Coples has 16 1/2 career sacks in his first three NFL seasons. Coples is in his fourth NFL season. Coples played sparingly Sunday in a loss to the Houston Texans. Follow me on Twitter: @AaronWilson_NFL Aaron Wilson covers the Texans for The Houston Chronicle.
