Dolphins center Mike Pouncey has hip surgery

Miami Dolphins center Mike Pouncey had hip surgery today, according to ESPN.

With Pouncey sidelined for at least three months, per the report, he would be sidelined for the start of the NFL regular season.

Pouncey is expected to begin training camp and possibly the regular season on the reserve physically unable to perform list. He could also be a candidate for injured reserve-designated to return.

Pouncey is the Dolphins' top offensive lineman.

Now, the Dolphins, who endured a bullying scandal and poor play from the offensive line last season, will have five new starts for the start of the season.
