Dolphins deny report of contact with Oregon's Kelly

The Miami Dolphins denied a report of having made contact with Oregon Ducks coach Chip Kelly about their vacant head coaching position, according to the Miami Herald.

Eugene, Ore., TV station reported that the Dolphins had contacted Kelly's agent, but apparently that is not the case.

Kelly wouldn't make a lot of sense for the Dolphins, because he comes from running a form of the spread offense that is popular in college, but (save for Tim Tebow and Cam Newton) has not yet found a long-term place in the pro game.
