Dolphins' Fasano on Gators, Tebow honor: It was awful

Count tight end Anthony Fasano among those not happy with the decision last Sunday for the Dolphins to honor Tim Tebow and the Florida Gators national championship team nearly three years after the fact.

It probably didn't help either that the Dolphins coughed up a 15-0 lead in the final minutes and went on to lose 18-15 in overtime with Tebow leading the charge.

“Yeah it was awful," Fasano said on WFAN via sportsradiointerviews.com. Showing up at the stadium and seeing all the Gator stuff and the Tebow stuff. It was disheartening, but as players we kind of put ourselves in that position because the Dolphins are in the business of winning football games and making money. We haven’t been winning football games, but it’s still a smack in the face and it’s unfortunate we couldn’t rain on their parade and get the win.”
