Dolphins giving away tickets to avoid blackout
The Miami Dolphins have decided that it would be better to give away their remaining tickets, rather than have a home game blacked out Sunday against the Washington Redskins.
The Dolphins, who won just one home game in 2010 and have only one win for the season thus far in 2011, have had trouble selling tickets of late on their own merits, so they have resorted to other measures to avoid blackouts. This week with the Washington Redskins coming to town, the Dolphins are purchasing the remaining 10,000 seats and will distribute them to current and retired military personnel in honor of Veteran's Day, according to the Palm Beach Post.
