Dolphins might not name starting QB this week
The Miami Dolphins starting quarterback position might not be named untiil after this week's preseason game against the Atlanta Falcons, according to Coach Joe Philbin.
The Dolphins are deciding between last year's starter Matt Moore and first-round pick Ryan Tannehill, each of whom has had one start in the preseason. Complicating the process is the fact that David Garrard, who was atop the depth chart at the start of camp, is out with a knee injury might not be back in time for the regular season opener.
So Philbin says the Dolphins may take more time in naming a starting quarterback, according to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.
"It could be [this week]," Philbin said. "We’re in a process right now.
