Dolphins release Marcus Thompson

The Miami Dolphins have released rookie linebacker Marcus Thompson.

Thompson is an undrafted free agent from Rutgers.

The 6-foot-1, 250-pounder was signed after the draft.

Thompson was a roster casualty with the Dolphins signing veteran offensive guard Daryn Colledge to a one-year contract.

The Dolphins are at the NFL roster limit of 90 players.
