Donte Stallworth finds a good situation in Washington
Donte Stallworth, still looking to get his career back on track, may have found the right place.
The free agent wide receiver has agreed to terms on a one-year contract with the Washington Redskins, meaning he’ll be in an offense in great need of a receiver to go down field and make plays, even after the club brought back Santana Moss. Pro Football Talk first reported the deal.
Stallworth appeared in only eight games for the Baltimore Ravens last season, catching just two passes as he never meshed with what offensive coordinator Cam Cameron was doing. He’s now four years removed from a 697-yard season with the New England Patriots.
With a one-year contract, Stallworth can earn bigger things moving forward if he can start producing. The key is having the opportunity and he should get that in Washington.
