Drew Stanton expected back for playoffs
Following their 12-6 win over the Rams, everyone in Arizona has held their collective breath as it to pertains to quarterback Drew Stanton. Stanton sustained a knee injury and was forced to exit the game.
On Saturday, it appears the Cardinals were given some good news. According to NFL.com, Stanton has a Grade 2 MCL sprain and is expected to return for the playoffs.
On Friday, Cardinals coach Bruce Arians said Stanton wouldn't need surgery, which was obviously a good sign.
In the short-term, the Cardinals will trot out either Ryan Lindley or Logan Thomas at quarterback. Lindley finished the game Thursday night, though Thomas had some great moments during the preseason.
