Dumervil deal worth $26 million over five years
How Elvis Dumervil became a Baltimore Raven on Sunday after a fax foul-up freed him in Denver is chronicled in detail by Peter King of Sports Illustrated.
In relocating to the Super Bowl champs, Dumervil's new contract is five years for $26 million, and as King points out, pays the pass rusher what he wanted - more money than the $8 million the Broncos were set to pay him in the reworked deal.
Dumervil's base salary is just $1 million for 2013, but the Ravens are also giving him a $7.5 million signing bonus to push the total for this year to $8.5 million.
