Eagles Add OL Jared Wheeler
The Eagles announced Monday the signing of offensive lineman and journeyman, Jared Wheeler, to a one-year deal.
At age 24, Wheeler has already been a member of three NFL teams, and most recently, the Seattle Seahawks.
After signing with the Carolina Panthers as an undrafted free agent in 2014, he was released and eventually claimed by the Buffalo Bills where he was again released prior to the regular season.
Wheeler fills the spot left open after the release of All-Pro lineman, Evan Mathis.
This also comes just as Philadelphia left tackle, Jason Peters, announced they have a superior offensive front to the NFC East rival Dallas Cowboys, saying "guy for guy, they can't touch us."
Wheeler's role remains to be seen, as still never having played in an NFL regular season game, but the confidence of the men around him certainly cannot be questioned.
