Eagles cut DeMeco Ryans

The Philadelphia Eagles cut veteran linebacker DeMeco Ryans. Ryans' base salary of $2.5 million would have been fully guaranteed on March 11. The deal was restructured last year and he got a $2 million signing bonus. The former Houston Texans second-round draft pick will be 32 years old before next season. Ryans started 13 games last year. In 2014, Ryans tore his Achilles tendon. Ryans is a two-time Pro Bowl selection. Follow me on Twitter: @AaronWilson_NFL Aaron Wilson covers the Texans for The Houston Chronicle.
