Eagles cut William Powell after failed physical

The Philadelphia Eagles cut running back William Powell due to him failing his physical, the team announced.

Powell was just awarded to the Eagles off waivers from the Arizona Cardinals.

The former Kansas State player rushed for 217 yards last season.

The Eagles made a few other moves today.

They activated punter Brad Wing and Matthew Tucker from the non-football injury list after they passed their physicals that includes a conditioning test.

Wing is competing with Donnie Jones for the punter job.
